Its not tacky but the food isn’t all that great. I have to think you can find a cheaper place that serves better food.

I’ve only been to a Hard Rock once, and it was packed, busy and way too expensive for the quality of food.  I’m going to agree with the PP, it isn’t tacky, but I’m sure you could find something better with better food and better service.

I think it just depends on your crowd. The Hard Rock can be a great party-type place because of its vibe. If you like it, there’s no reason you shouldn’t bring your guests there. 🙂

Darling Husband & I just voted the other night to NEVER eat at a Hard Rock ever again.  We’ve only had lackluster food and have been to at least 4 Hard Rock restaurants.  However, I voted “other” because I think it would be a fun place to have a rehearsal dinner, but I agree with LGenz that you could probably find a cheaper place that serves better food.

No, it sounds like a lot of fun actually.

I wouldn’t call it tacky… but for me, I really don’t like Hard Rock. Every one I’ve been to, the food was expensive and not great. If it’s the simplest option, go for it, but I would check out some other places.
