Forgive me if this was covered but I didn’t read every post:

I went with a strapless dress with a bolero over it. It’s what worked for me. I will not be removing the bolero for the wedding. I found some modest dresses online but I couldn’t afford them or none of the shops near me carried them. I hate shopping and this was what worked for me. I’m thrilled with my choice. Good luck!

MrsCtoBeee: Hello! Sorry to thread-jack, but… I have the same dress (Stella York 6025) and have been looking for some “coverage” that I would be able to take off during the reception. Would you mind sharing what your doing? Thank you!!

happygirl2016:  Yes, I had a hard time finding a dress with sleeves within my $2,500 dress budget. We ended up getting a beautiful strapless and are having straps seen on with an off the shoulder look

jacqheide:  Hi there! My dress is due to come in at the end of February so I have not got the ball rolling yet with the jacket. I am still going to go ahead with the ‘backwards jacket’ look. I really wanted sleeves but I fell for the 6025 so this works out perfectly! I can then take it off for the reception if I feel like it. My Nanny is going to make the jacket once we find some ‘stretchy lace’, the dress shop offered to order in the same lace as the dress but it was too expensive and I dont think it needs to be an exact match as long as the jacket covers the lace on the dress. I have tried a few on in store, though all in massive sizes, and i thought it looked fab 🙂 Can you try this combination on in store?

OP, I see your wedding is March 2015, did you find your dream sleeved dress?

The jacket over strapless dress was a look I liked but didn’t feel secure enough in the strapless dress.  I ended up getting a dress that had almost a boatneck and straps but no longer sleeves, even though I like sleeves.

Every salon I went to said that adding sleeves is not a problem.  My budget was like $1200 or so and there were plenty of options under that with sleeves or with the ability to add them 🙂
