Anyone know where a relatively inexpensive place is to buy hardcover books for usage on my tables for my wedding? Seeing places that charge $20+ a book and that just seems crazy for something nobody is ever going to use again. Sorry if I’m not posting this to the right board!

Thrift shops, garage sales, craigslist, library sales- most libraries clear out old books from time to time

@edollarsignp: Check out betterworldbooks, too. I would honestly go to GoodWill or the Salvation Army, too.

Does your library do a used book sale? That’s where I got a few of mine (most I just grabbed from our shelves). I’m wrapping mine in pretty, color-themed wrapping paper to coordinate things a bit better. If you have a lot of old hardbacks, they can look good without being coordinated, but a lot of our stuff is contemporary and just looked weird until I wrapped them.

Goodwill always seems to have alot of these! Just remove any paper jackets you don’t want. It sounds like a lovely centerpiece idea!
