@Amayansong:  No you are not!  I am in my late 30’s and it is SO hard.  I lost weight in the early 30’s pretty easily, but creeping up on 40 is difficult.  And to make it even worse, baby weight!  This is the hardest weight I have had to lose!

I’m not even 30 yet and it’s definitely gotten harder.  FML.

I’m not 30 yet (almost!) and it’s definitely a lot harder now than it used to be. By the same token, I’m also smarter about it. In my early 20s I often would go for several weeks on under 900 cals a days and always had quick results. I’m just not willing to put my body through that kind of stress anymore so I guess it’s a trade off! Good luck!!

i’m 33.  i lost about 25 pounds in about 3-4 months.  i’ve never had success with weight lost but this time around, i found what worked for me.  my weakness is carbs (mainly sweets) so i cut that out and only ate lean proteins, veggies, and whole grains.  i love over 10 pounds in one month.  everytime i got on the scale it would come off.  i think it’s easy to stick to a diet when you see results.

it’s not just eating good carbs that worked for me.  i ate fewer calories than i burned. i got full faster with protein and it kept me full longer.  i kept track of the calories and i was eating just over 1,000 calories each day and i wasn’t hungry.  without exercise i only need about 1,500 calories so i was burning several hundred more calories than i ate.

@Amayansong:    Thank you…it’s always nice to know i am not alone.  I am always reminding myself that it’s important to be comfortable in my own skin and that confidence radiates.

I’m 32 (going to be 33 at my wedding) and it took me forever to lose weight.  I definitely don’t see results as quickly as I did in my 20s.  You just have to keep at it!
