future.mrs.koban:  You’re probably being paranoid for nothing. A lot of people I know (including myself lol) buy gifts the day before or even on the day of a party. Also, some Bees will say that gifts are not required to attend a party

i have a tendency to proctrastinate with gifts: “i have plenty of time…no rush.” the day of the party, there i am in the store buying a gift, a card, and a gift bag, lol. also, some people aren’t good about letting the cashiers know that their purchase  is off a gift registry, so it doesn’t get checked off.

future.mrs.koban:  Maybe people bought gifts card or they are busy and going to buy a gift closer to the date. Or maybe some people couldn’t afford gifts so they aren’t bringing one.

Whatever it is, I wouldn’t worry about it as it is something you can’t control.

I tend to buy presents at the very last minute. Maybe your guests are the same way?

I work at a store that deals heavily with registries. Most people come the day before or even the day of to get gifts. But be warned not everything will be purchased usually.

I too look at the registry as soon as I get the invitation, scope out what the couple likes on it and then wait until the weekend or day before to buy it. LOL. I’m terrible and I don’t know why I do it, but bridal showers, baby showers, weddings, it’s all the same. Procrastination gets me everytime.

People definitely wait until the last minute or just give cash. I wouldn’t worry about it.

Same thing happened to me! Like PP have said, it’s amazing how the gifts fly off of the registry the couple of days before the shower! I didn’t realize how many people wait until last minute–I’m an early shopper, myself 🙂

This is a busy time of year for a lot of people. I wouldn’t be too worried! Plus, a lot of people, like me, are last minute!

A lot of people bought last minute for mine. Some bought gifts on the day of the shower. However, I still did not get that many gifts off our registry. Many gave their own gifts or a lot of people went in on gifts together, even ones I considered less expensive. I had 5 people go in on a $20 gift for me. But if that’s all they could afford, it’s still nice they did something and were there at the shower. I had a handful of people give no gifts at all for the shower or the wedding.

future.mrs.koban:  if its any comfort at all, I bought a gift for the last bridal shower I went to the night before!
