I’m with grumpy cat on this one. The Harlem Shake has no barrier to entry so it simply cannot be cool in itself. That being said, those old folks are ballers!

My husband I like Harlem shake. It’s funny!

My hands shake when my blood sugar gets too low, so I say I have the Harlem Shakes.

Put me in the “doesn’t do anything for me” column. I enjoyed the Gangnam Style videos much more.

@Omgbunnies:  I didn’t vote because at first I thought it was the dumbest thing ever (I felt that way about Gangnam style too). We used to do the real Harlem shake in jr. high so I guess I was confused by the videos. But then I saw a few of them with huuuge crowds of people and I thought those were pretty entertaining. The Miami Heat one was cute too. I usually don’t go for viral stuff but it’s grown on me a little bit.

Gangnam Style was supposed to be social commentary about idoitic consumerist culture, and everyone missed his message and just did the silly dance! That was so disappointing for me.

I don’t speak a word of Korean and I understood him right away so…. GAH, people…it wasn’t supposed to just be a horsey dance.

Harlem Shake I just don’t get, it truly has no apparent meaning that I can discern, nor is it a great dance. *shrug.*

Stupid is what I call it.  Considering a bunch of HS in Minnesota got in trouble for doing the Harlem Shake at school.

@Galang_Gyal:  I know, the harlem shake was the dance….

and really I didn’t get it at first, my 11 year old turned me on to it and then one night I just watched and watched and now I’m addicted to the rediculousness of them.

@joya_aspera:  Yes. The thing that made me upset/mad for the dude who did gangnam style was how disrespectful that alot of the media was towards him. Alot of the interviews he did… the newscasters would have a certain kind of blatant racisim that but seem to be totally unaware of, if you know what I mean.
