@futurenavypilotwife:

Hi!  I loved this dress in the shop and was advised to order the OFF WHITE option.  I picked it up a few weks ago and its a bit yellow for my taste.  Has anyone else experinced that?  What colour did you order?  I’m thinking I should have ordered the white option…..I’m super stressed!  Thanks in advance for your help.

Do you have any pictures of yourself in the dress? It could be the lighting that make it look yellow?

@Jessika0209:  When I ordered mine, they gave me two options: white and ivory. I chose ivory. They said that ivory is the color of the sample of the dress that I tried on. I was worried about the dress being too yellow too, so I almost said yes to the white. However, when they informed me that the sample was ivory, I opted for ivory. There was a lot of natural light coming in from a window in the store, so the ivory one did not appear yellow at all to me. What was the lighting like where you were when you first saw your dress. Could this be a factor?

I’m nervous! I really hope it doesn’t look yellow!!!

@shaf:

Do you know whether the sample of the La Sposa Mullet dress that you tried on was white or ivory?

Thanks!

Hi Ladies!

A few updates…..so I tried on the actual dress they ordered for me last night (one in the pic is a sample).

Let me address the colour first since you are all concerned about that. So the dress in the picute above,  the sample, is off white. The one I ordered is off white as well. I have never seen this dress in white so I’m not sure what the real difference is. Im thinking it will be a more stark white. Im getting married on a beach so there will be lots of natural light. Also my skin is naturally a bit tanned so I liked the way this colour looked on me. To me when I look at the dress it looks off white and not too yellowy….like almost white but but not quite. I do really like the colour I got it in. I aslo think it makes the dress look a little richer then it would in white but again I have not seen it in white. Has anyone tried it on in white? Do any of you have any pictures? What do you guys think about the colur????

Now my major stress about the dress…..the one they ordered for me was too small! It was pinching at the back and I could hardly get it doneup and all my skin was bunched up and looked like back fat cuz it was squished together ๐Ÿ™

They measured me again to make sure I did not gain any weight since I was there last when they took my measurements and I have not ๐Ÿ™‚

So basically what happened was that the dress they ordered was supposed to be a certain measurement and it was 1-2 inches smaller then the measurement the company said it was. They actually measured the dress to find this out. I was relived when they said that they will contact the company the dress was ordered from amd sort it out with them. Obviously I am a bit worried as my wedding is in April and I have yet to do any alterations.

I wont know what is going on until today beacuse the company that they ordered the dress from was closed last night by the time we found all of this out so hopefully I will get a call from them soon. Fingers crossed.

The people at the dress place were pretty calm and said this type of stuff happens more often then I would think and I don’t have anything to be worried about so I am trying my best not to be.

Oh yeah and I forgot to take any pics cuz I was so stressed out….I’ll send more the next time I try it on when all this is sorted out.

Thank you for the update! I’m trying on my actual mullet tomorrow! I’m excited, but a little nervous too! It sounds like the store that you purchased it from has it under control. I would just call them tomorrow and make sure that everything is being taken care of. You look beautiful in the dress! It doesn’t look that yellow at all to me in your pictures. I think it is a great color!

Thanks @futurenavypilotwife!

Please do send pics of you in the dess if you take any. Good Luck!

Great news! The store said they would have a replacement dress for my by early March! This will give me enough time to get my alterations done for my late April wedding.

And since I am trying to look at the brightside…..this gives me 6 more weeks to get in shape before alterations!!!

Hey everyone! I just tried on my mullet! I’m so excited. These pictures make it look really yellow and they’re not the best (my mom isn’t too skilled with the camera, but she tried), but it’s actually pretty white and much prettier in person. This gives you the general idea, but it needs to be taken in quite a bit through the bust and hips. That must mean all my time at the gym has been paying off! I hope the images help!

Thank you! Do you know what type of veil are you planning on wearing with it? I love the length/shape of the one with the satin edging, but I’m not sure if I want edging or just a plain veil. So many decisions!

Hi everyone!

I’m also wearing a Mullet for the big day! I’m going for the first fitting next week, but I thought I’d post these pictures for those who want to see the ivory dress in natural light. The ladies at the studio were super nice and were very happy to let me go out into the courtyard by the shop to see the dress in natural lighting. It was their sample gown and was much too big so the shape on me is all wrong but you can see it’s actually very white!

@futurenavypilotwife : I love the veil you have on with the satin edging! ๐Ÿ˜€

@Summer_Rose:

Thank you so much for posting those pictures! It makes me feel even better about the dress. My photos were not that great. The consultant tied the sash on all crooked and didn’t straighten out the train. Also, my dress was too big, so it was falling down in the picture.

The dress looks absolutely gorgeous on you! Can you believe we’re only about 4 months away?
