We did ours in the summer. I was hoping for fall, but they still worked out really well. Our photographer has taken some beautiful pictures during the winter! Plus, since not a lot of people choose that time, you have more options to work with. You can dress it up with cute accessories and a cute coat. Are there any indoor attractions at the winter festival? You could wear a cute outfit inside a place and take pics.

We did ours in February.  I was hoping for a really snowy setting (I had wanted a winter wedding), but despite the record breaking snow this year, there was a warmup the week of our eshoot, and most of the snow melted. It broke my heart!  So for most of the pictures we just suffered through being chilly (I wore a skirt, nylons, and a light sweater, my husband wore slacks, a collared shirt, and a sweater).  Then we did some more casual shots in jeans and hoodies.  I was definitely putting my coat back on in between locations though!

@FloretteLiz: I was praying up until the day of the wedding for a blizzard…it could happen in April! It was 70 and sunny though, so I guess I can’t complain.  And now we have an excuse to do an anniversary shoot in a few years 🙂

We did ours in Feb. I was a little worried about doing them in our coats, but it was so cold that we didnt want to take them off. We just wore our cotas and scarves and kept the hats and gloves off. They turned out very nice and we got some great shots with some giant snowballs!
