Hey bees! We recently found out we are pregnant yay! The wedding is coming in July and people are coming from all over the country! We are thinking about announcing it at the wedding I will be 13 weeks! Thoughts anyone? Parents and siblings already know.

moto5522 : totally your call! Congratulations!
most people will be overjoyed for you, though of course they would be that day anyway.
Just know that almost inevitably, someone is going to make the joke that you only married because you’re pregnant later that same night. It’s ridiculous, obviously, but if you’ve got an open bar I’d bet it’s gonna happen. So I’d figure out how annoying that is to you.

moto5522 : I’ve never seen it done, but I can’t see any downside to doing it in your situation. Congrats!

I think that would be so fun!! And then people will not be fussed with you not drinking. Congrats!

moto5522 : my gfs husband started telling guests at their wedding after he had drank a few during dinner. They were only 6weeks pregnant, so I think youre in a better position!

Congrats! Seems like the perfect opportunity, everyone you love will be in one room!

People will probably wonder why you aren’t toasting with champagne or drinking at all anyway! I say go for it!

I also don’t see any reason not to 🙂

As how lovely, go for it!

That would be awesome! And then you also don’t have to have excuses to avoid the champagne toasts or whatever. You could say something cute about how everyone has come to see you form a family of two, but you’re actually three!

I’ve never seen it done except on Say Yes to the Dress. I think it could be a fun announcement to make.

I’ve never seen it done but I think it would be an awesome surprise for people!

Congrats, I think it would be a great surprise! I did have a friend announce right after her wedding – she sent out photo wedding cards and posted on FB. The card/post had an engagement picture, a wedding picture and a sonogram picture and said something like “first comes loves, then comes marriage…” I thought it was a cute idea!
