Hi, I’m probably too late, but in case anyone puruses these boards and still uses the info… I’ve had a most unpleasant experience trying to order bridesmaids dresses from Helene Prom. We thought it looked great at the beginning too – good prices, some cute styles, lots of colors, custom sizes…
But, the dresses we received did not live up to the pictures. First off, the sash and bow were not really the same as in the photo of the style online. The sash was basically a belt and the bow was merely sewn to the middle of it instead of being an extension of the sash as though the sash itself was tied into the bow. Second, only 1 of 3 dresses was the color we expected / wanted. The other two garishly clash with it. And third, there is an obvious stain on the sash of one of the miscolored dresses such that I wouldn’t want to make my friend wear it all day in photos that will stick around for a very long time.
And to top it all off, there’s really no recourse aside from posting this little review since Helene Prom has a ridiculously limited return policy.
In the end, we have replaced the dresses with ones from David’s Bridal which actually come out to about the same cost as the Helene ones. At David’s we’re having to pay a rush fee to get them here since the issue with the dresses was not brought to my attention until a month before my wedding. But the shipping charged by Helene made those dresses not so cheap after all.
Good luck with dresses from Helene Prom… My advise would be to pay a little more for a dress you can see in person before you buy. It’s certainly cheaper and less hassle to only buy 1 set of bridesmaids dresses!!
