hermionegranger : It is an 8 mm round that I bought loose and had it set in a setting I bought on Loupe Troop. I really like it. It’s a beautiful color!  THey have a great return policy so if you end up not liking it once you get it just a send it back!  Let us know what you decide… 🙂

I don’t own one, but I also LOVE their alexandrites/sapphires and I am definitely planning on ordering some in the future (maybe I’ll send strong hints for an anniversary ring or future birthday present haha…since I can’t justify buying one now since we JUST purchased three loose moissanites for my engagement ring!).

Anyways, MoissaniteCo actually posts videos on their instagram. I think videos give a better idea of what the stones actually look like (compared to just photos), and based on the videos they look absolutely STUNNING.

hermionegranger :  I want to get one of their sapphires or another to go with my wedding band. I have an amethyst engagement ring bc my sweet husband thought they were my favorite stone, when it’s actually an Alexandrite. I want to get a more sturdy stone blue to wear everyday that matches this band I had made. Any suggestions?

I wear this side forward when I pair it with my amethyst.

I have an asscher cultured sapphire in the kashmir blue and I love it.

I had it set by an independent jeweler and couldn’t be happier about how it turned out.

amandajane4949 :  Giiiirl! That Asscher sapphire is gorgeous, the gold bezel is amazing, really compliments the stone. It looks incredible with your stack.

amandajane4949 : I’m obsessing over your ring right now lol. So much so that I went on the website to look at them! Which size stone did you get??

hermionegranger :  I know, aren’t they?? I don’t even like cushion cuts for colourless stones (e.g. diamond/moissanite) but one look at the cushion Alexandrites and I fell in love. Turquoise/teal is one of my favourite colours and the shade of turquoise on the Alexandrites is absolutely divine. I am even tempted to order 4 stones for a whole set (RHR, necklace, earrings…LOL). But I am getting way ahead of myself here, that will probably not happen for a few years yet. I will start with just the RHR in maybe a year or two, then work my way up. And then also get a sapphire, ruby, emerald, and morganite ring…oh man, I literally have NEVER worn a ring in my whole life before (apart from trying one on here and there, plus a cheap one I wore a bit as a kid), but after doing engagement ring shopping recently I have become absolutely obsessed and started making a long list of all the rings I want to own eventually. Yikes!

I’ve considered buying an emerald stone to see in person, but wonder after owning my moissy, if the sparkle wouldn’t be enough.  I’d love a gem stone ring to wear on my right hand.
