I quit my job to travel for 8 months. Couldn’t stand the thought of washing all that hair while on the road so I went from this:

To this:

Now I’m home and back at work. I can’t have pink hair so I’ve changed to this:

I love them all. I was overly attached to my long hair for too long. I’m open to any change now 😃

I love cutting my hair short, adding bangs, letting it all grow out, coloring it, etc, for no particular reason. Usually I’m just getting bored or frustrated with my hair so I switch it up.

Right now I’m keeping it longer for the engagement photos and wedding coming up, but once that’s all done, I definitely want to cut it short and try out being a blonde!

Mine isn’t a huge change (and unfortunately I don’t have before/after) but after losing my mom and having my first big crisis with my SO, I cut off about three inches of my hair (I showed him! Showed him what, I don’t know, ha). I also had it colored – I’m in my early 40s but had a lot of gray due to stress at work and being a caregiver. My mom was always telling me I needed to have it colored, but I would rather spend the money on her. So in her memory I had my mousy brown colored dark mocha.

I haven’t cut my hair in 5 years, it seems to just stay one length, lol. I’m still hoping it’s growing a little, if it is it’s so slow. I give myself small trims once a year but nothing substantial. I love people changing their hair but after years of short and colourful hair I’m so greatful to have my own long blonde hair.. before I start greying :p Either way, I love all the before and after pictures everyone’s shared!! So cool to see how hair changes the look of person.

lol yep when I went through a break up I chopped my hair off. my hair dresser said “are you sure you want to cut all this off” and i told her “yep! it’s hair, it grows back” then like 2 weeks later I was sad cos I missed my long hair. i will not dye my hair though. i see these ladies in the salon paying 100’s of dollars to get their hair like mine so i don’t wanna ruin it!

Me! I got divorced out of my terrible, unhealthy relationship… as evidenced by the fact that I was so skinny you could see my bones… (This is a friend of mine, not the asshole ex)

Now, years later, after quite a lot of therapy, a healthy workout routine, and a new hair, I feel like a new person TBH. Which is good, because I really, really needed a fresh start.

graces7 :  Thank you. I was really not in a good place when that picture was taken. It hurts to even see. Much better now! Lol.
