    I think it’d look ok but I’d be more concerned about alteration costs. There isn’t likely any boning in the dress that would keep the strapless style up. I would look for a similar dress which already has the sweetheart neckline.

    I’ll be changing mine to a sweetheart. The lady who does alterations said that all she would have to do is pinch it because the neckline is straight across. Because of the neckline you should really should check with who is doing the alterations to make sure it can be done. Your dress is beautiful the way it is too, one shoulder really suits you.

    @brandybelle:  Gotcha! I’d try a dress with a similar style on first. I think it looks great as is. Almost bought a Bridesmaid or Best Man dress with the style you’re looking to alter it to and it didn’t flatter as much as the bride hoped. But I think it looks great on you now!
