It is Totally possible! I am customizing mt MoriLee 1612 to have puckers and gathers cause I don’t want to hem the thing (lots of lace trim)

I think changing it to flowers would be gorgeous. 🙂

First off.. you look so beautiful!! I know you said you wanted to remove the bow but I think it flatters your waist and is actually my fav part of the dress. I can’t wait to see what you come up with. The dress I want is going to have to be customized a bit too.

@Stassney: Wait, I am confused. At first you said you want to remove the bow and now you don’t? Either way, I am all up for customizing it. I changed my zipper back to a corset because I preferred the look. I think what you are talking about could be gorgeous however, keep in mind that my dress ended up costing $600 in alterations (granted, mostly because of my bustle) because I wanted to change a few things. So, if cost is a concern, I would ask around to see who can do what and for how much. And be careful because if you just go to the cheapest person because they are the cheapest person without checking references or work, you could end up with more problems because customizing a dress can sometimes be a bigger deal than just alterring is slightly. I think if you can afford it and can find the right person, go for it! But know exactly what you want beforehand so you don’t see it later and have second thoughts.

@Stassney: to answer your first question- hit the “reply” link at the bottom of the post you want to reply to.

I think your dress looks gorgeous- but perhaps you could try substituting the bow for a sash? That would simplify the dress a bit, but allow for you to add tasteful details to the skirt.

I think it depends on how much sewing skill you have, those dahlias look complicated. Could you practice on a cheaper sundress?

@Stassney: I think so… it depends on the size and fabric of the flowers. If you draw, I would draw something up or have someone in the bridal salon draw something up for you before you go ahead and make any changes! Really the bow is just so sweet and pretty!

I wish I could do photoshop well.. I would totally cut the bow off off your dress and paste it onto that second pic to see. I don’t see why a bow wouldn’t go though. Look around for dresses that have both and see what you think.

Now photoshop your face onto her body so you have full effect!
