We didn’t do an engagement shoot before the wedding because we booked our photographer close to the wedding and we weren’t sure what we would do with the pictures anyway. Our package included one so our photpgrapher said we could do a shoot after the wedding like a TTD or something of the sort. We are coming up on our 1 year anniversary (wow!) and thought maybe an anniversary shoot would be nice.
Has anyone done one? What did you wear? Did you have props? I’m not sure what direction we should go with it. I need ideas!

We did! We were in Paris for our anniversary, and we booked a photo session. We didn’t do anything to really signify that we were doing it for our anniversary. I guess they’re pretty similar to engagement shots or any other couple session.
We really like having good, pro photos of us, and your first anniversary is sort of a milestone to celebrate.
Maybe look at it that way? Or you could something with props to remember some of the fun things you guys have done during the first year.

We haven’t done any anniversary shoots so to say. Our anniversary is in December and it is usually super cold and nasty out with snow.
But we have done “couple shoots” after we got married. It is fun. It is nice to have beautiful non formal (i.e wedding) photos to frame around the house. 🙂
I wore casual outfits. Two we did in the fall and one in the spring in 2012.
Here are some of my favorites:

Thanks, bees. I think we’ll go with the casual look and I’ll probably incorporate my wedding shoes or some other accessory from the wedding day.
@Sweet.Sugar.Rose: I hadn’t thought about how nice it would be to have pictures in regular clothes around the house instead of just wedding pics which we have tons of.

@NJmeetsBX: What did you end up doing for your anniversary shoot? I would love to see pics!
Our photog just reminded me that ours is coming up this fall and I am stumped for ideas. We already did an engagement shoot before the wedding in nice but casual clothes, with hair and makeup, at some of our favorite neighborhood spots. I feel like we should do something different this time around, I’m just not sure what.
