Pretty self-explanatory question. Has anyone else done their own hair for their wedding?
I did a run-through today with mine, a pretty simple style (Our wedding is at 5:30 pm, and it won’t take more than an hour to do). While I’m not an expert at hair, I’m confident enough in my ability. It’s also a way to keep myself busy that day so I don’t have an anxiety attack. Nothing will change my mind right now, but my friends are all blown away by this.
If you have done your own hair, care to share a picture? Any suggestions?

I did! I got married hours away from where i live & from my normal hairdresser…i was very happy with the results, & even after the beach ceremony & pics, it still looked good! No pics saved on my phone, but will post some tomorrow!

I did! Well me and my Mom did. She put my hai in pincurls the night before the wedding and we let it loose the morning of. After a little creme and hairspray, I took one piece of hair from both side of my head and pinned it at the back.
There are more pics of my hair here

@iammcdibble: Cudos to you for doing your own hair! I am glad some people are willing to give it a shot . What kind of style are you doing? If you are doing something that requires hairspray, I do suggest getting a good strong hairspray that will let your style last the night. Also, it is best to use hair that isn’t freshly washed (sounds gross I know) but it helps hold the style.

I will be doing my own hair 🙂
I am a hairstylist so it does make it somewhat easier! No less stressful though!
I will be wearing mine very similiar to this.
I’ll be doing my own makeup too.
I would definitely suggest having a look at tutorials on youtube! There are so many handy ones! And keep in mind that about 60% of a hairstyle is all about the products used and the preparation to the hair to keep it in place and give it texture and volume.
And don’t doubt yourself! You can do it! Good luck 🙂

I’m planning on doing mine. It’s a very casual beach wedding so I’m probably going to end up with something similar to this:

I plan on doing both my hair and makeup. Maybe a bad idea, but I am very casual and I want to recognize myself in my wedding photos. For my hair I’m just going to brush it and maybe pin back my side swept bangs with a pretty hair pin. And makeup is just going to be foundation and a tiny bit of eyeshadow. I feel like it’s not fair for me to spend hours and (potentially) hundreds of dollars to look like someone I’m not when the men just have to learn how to tie a bow tie.
