My best friend did this for her wedding.  She had a Pronovias gown.  I think the sweetheart neckline looked beautiful on her (she has a large bust relative to her frame, so she needed the neckline to be more “open” than the straight-across neckline provided).  Don’t know how much it cost, though – hope another bee can help!

My best friend had her neckline changed to a sweetheart. Her aunt made her dress so she did the alteration as well. She had to have a fairly shallow sweetheart though, something to do with not enough fabric or something. Talk to a few people who could do the alteration – is there someone at the bridal shop you got your dress through who could do it?

I am having my straight neckline dress altered to a sweetheart. The bridal shop said its not a problem and I think its a fairly simple change. It shouldnt be a big deal as long as you find a reputable person or shop to do your alterations.

Should be fairly simple as long as there isn’t a lot of beading up there.
