Just wondering if anyone has done- or is going to do hair extensions for thier wedding day?
I would prefer to wear my hair down. It’s very fine though- and while it’s not “thin” perse, it could use a little ooooomph! I’m contemplating getting hair extensions- which is so not me, but that’s how much I would like to wear my hair down LOL-
anyone have experience with them? I don’t want the clip in kind- I want something more “permanent”- even if I take them out after wedding. Worth it? Approximate cost?

I have very fine hair as well so I got extensions to add volume. Best decision ever. However, I did the clip-in so I can’t say anything about more permanent ones. I enjoy having them to use whenever though, I wore them to a bachelorette party last weekend so I like the re-usefullness of clip-ins!

YES yes yes! I am! I never would have thought about extensions because I’ve been completely unfamiliar with them, and when I asked my stylist at my last appointment “frankly, how can I get my hair to look more like Amanda Seyfried’s?” she said “clip-in extensions!!!!” I love my stylist, I’ve seen her about six times now at an Aveda salon near me. She said you wouldn’t believe how many people do clip-in extensions and you’d never guess it. She said if I wanted to, I should go to Sally Beauty and purchase some long extensions in the closest color to my hair. I got the longest ones in a beautiful highlighted-blonde color to match my hair (only about $100 with a coupon and it’s the most silky amazing real hair). Under my stylist’s recommendations I’m taking them with me to my next hair cut this weekend so she can put them in and trim them to blend in with my real hair even better. And I’ve had them for a few weeks and even though they’re super long, I’ve been wearing them almost every day because it’s just so darn FUN and PRETTY OH MY! My fiance is the first person to be brutally honest and let people know what he really thinks and I keep telling him, “tell me if I look weird okay please??” because I feel funny going around with extra hair on my head that I didn’t grow myself.. But he just keeps saying “wow no it looks great!!!!!!!!!!” with a big smile! Haha! So yes, I definitely am looking forward to getting my highlights touched-up, my hair cut, my next clip-in extensions trimmed before my wedding. I might not even schedule a “consultation” (trial-run) for my wedding day hairstyle because I’m pretty confident that however she does the “half-up” ‘do that I want, with the extensions it’s going to look beauuuuuutiful!

I did and absolutely loved them. I bought my clip in huaman hair ones off ebay and was definitely happy with them. Mine were to add volume as I already had long hair. Totally recommend you get them.
Here is a pic for reference although I don’t have a ‘before’. I have no idea how to resize sorry.
