I ordered a coat from them and when I went to pick it up I tried it on and noticed that the button holes weren’t finished — hard to describe online but the stitching around the hole was complete but the hole itself had frayed material poking out every which way, it looked furry LOL.
I asked the clerk if that was normal and she said no, that it seemed unfinished. I asked if she would ask her manager about it to call Eden and see what’s up. The manager came out and I went to look at dresses to allow the clerk to speak with the manager about the problem…
I rounded a rack of clothes and next thing I know the manager is going at my coat with a pair of scissors! I asked her what she was doing and she said “Well I’m not going to call Eden because they’re not going to have me ship this back just so someone can cut these strands off, they’re going to have a seamstress do it.” I explained I didn’t think I should have to pay a seamstress to do it when I already ordered what should have been a finished project to which she responded in a fake-happy voice “That’s why I’m doing it for you!”
I might have been bordering on crazy at this point but I told her I don’t know who she is, if she’s a seamstress, etc. and from her attitude she clearly didn’t care about what happened to my coat enough to take the necessary care in cutting the strands off so I would take it elsewhere.
THEN I call Eden Bridals 1-800 number and when I’m routed to customer service the woman refused to speak to me saying we don’t sell to the public, we sell to wholesalers so you have to bring this problem up with your bridal salon. And the bridal salon doesn’t care because it’s not an expensive gown, it’s a coat – that they didn’t make! They’re just processing the order on my behalf.
Anyone else have similar problems? What the heck am I supposed to do with this? I’ll probably just have my mom take care of the button holes but seriously – no one along this chain of command cared that this item slipped out of production unfinished. :/
