When I first got it I scratched Everyone. I have a marquise. It’s because it’s higher set than most other rings so your hands haven’t ” learned” how to move with it on yet.  I have had mine for about a year and I don’t scratch anyone anymore. ๐Ÿ™‚

I have claw prongs, but it’s set pretty low so I usually just scratch myself.

I don’t think I’ve ever really scratched anybody else but the few times I tried to sleep with it on I scratched the heck out of my face. And I don’t think I’d attempt to handle a baby with it on.

LOVE LOVE LOVE your heart prongs! My ring has a high setting so yes, I scratch people with it too. Which is why I don’t plan on wearing it once we start having kids. I’ve scratched our godson while baby sitting him before. I felt so bad.

The temp ring I have on has caused many injuries… I am hoping my actual ring (waiting ever so patiently for it to arrive….) won’t cause many issues.

But on another note; YOUR PRONGS ARE AMAZING! I have never seen them as heart shapes and it is so beautiful!

One of the first nights of wearing my ering I woke up with a huge scratch on my face. Luckily I was on vacation and didn’t have to go into work. ๐Ÿ™‚

I have scraped Fiance quite a few times…and last week, while switching subways during rush hour, someone brushed my hand I know they got scraped. Whoops!

I haven’t, but my best friend had a marquise cut (.4 ish cts) engagement ring that she and her husband switched out because she was scratching her little boy with it. She upgraded to a .75 ish round brilliant set low with prongs that are very close down to the stone.

At first I scratched myself A LOT!  But I haven’t done that in a while.  I used to always snag it on my nylons too, but now I take it off to put on my nylons.  I do however scratch my Fiance maybe once every other month.  Its more of, I swing my arms when I walk and I don’t walk straight so I scrape him, and really anyone who dares to walk on the left side of me. BEWARE, I might cut you!

@Happilyevaafter5:  hahaa I think its mostly because you are not used to it! I will get proposed (hopefully soon as he is in the starting process of ordering) with a solitair round classic e-ring and have a feeling I will scratch too! So after I do get proposed I will share with you my experience on scratching!
