I’m only nearing my 7th week, but I had it the past couple days. Luckily it was just (TMI alert) watery stool ~2-3x a day. Yesterday my stomach was very gurgly, but the diahrrea stopped at least. I couldn’t tell if the nausea was ms or from the stomach bug, but my guess is ms because it occured before and after as well. XD I think you should be fine as long as you keep hydrated. 🙂

You and the baby should be okay especially since you got proper care. The biggest concern for having the flu during pregnancy is dehydration; dehydration causes the most flu deaths in children, the elderly, and pregnant women because they are more susceptable to dehydration. Just make sure you bump up your water intake and if you feel dehydrated visit your doctor or the ER.

I had a terrible stomach virus week before last. I had to get zofran to stop the vomiting. I was dehydrated, but not terribly so by the time I got to the doctor.

Thanks ladies, it was honestly the worst ive ever had it.. Darling Husband was so close to calling an ambo but i wouldnt let him. I did let him take me to the ER once it had slowed down. I was put on a drip and monitored and everything should be fine with the little nugget.
On the down side ive torn both my outer stomach muscles and my actual stomach (smooth) muscles. So every time i walk, laugh or talk it really hurts 🙁 am having a hard time finding something to eat without being in pain, but its slowly getting better.
I honestly thought the worst once it had started, and am not glad to hear of you other ladies experiencing it, but its a good feeling to know im not the only one and it doesnt mean the worst is happening!

My friend had the stomach flu for two days before and during labor. She was throwing up for a couple of days, went into labor, and then continued to vomit after each contraction. Everything was fine. She’s such a little thing, she was 6 months pregnant before she hit 100 pounds and baby girl was 5 lbs 12 oz and had to be vacuumed out because mom just couldn’t do it anymore after 24 hours of that vicious cycle. Recovery was great though, vomiting stopped before she left the hospital.
