Just completely lost motivation to keep planning? We nixed our inital event and replanned a basic, very intimate, family-only event. Eventhough I don’t have to deal with so many of the things I was before, or that most brides do…I’m just burnt out. I’m nearing my late June date faster than I anticipated and while I feel a level of stress to tie up major loose ends, like finding some remaining vendors, I also feel a childish sense of “But I don’t want to!” Anyone else go through this? What did you do to keep the motivation up?

abridetobe2015: Yep! I did. I planned SO much during the first couple of months after engagement and then I got so sick of it. As it neared closer, I got excited again that the day was so close! I think thats totally normal to feel that way.

weatherbug: We are both so excited for the time out of town. Since it’s near his family we’re driving the 12 hours and spending a week with them before taking the kids with us on our honeymoon. So I think that the light at the end of this tunnel is that we’ll have some vacation time. I always fear people will read that and think we’re not excited to get married. Haha. I’ll take your word for it and anticipate excitement as the days tick down.
