Depends on which part of Mexico…  Its a big country.  Mostly warm, can be really hot in some places.  And it is rain season (it is not super rainy tho), but then again, it depends if you mean north, south, pacific, caribbean, city, etc..

Look into the Banyan Tree. We’ve been there for the last 2 years. The rain isn’t so bad.  The resort is amazing the food spectacular. We love the area so much that we’ll be headEd over to Tulum as pre-wedding/family trip this year.

I vacationed in Playa del Carmen (south of Cancun) in August several years ago and we had great weather.  August can be a very hot month however, so that’s something to consider.

@2BeeWed2013:  I went to Mexico in August (this was years ago, like 13 years I think).  Bring sunscreen even if you are tan now, tan easily etc you will still burn trust me.  I started tanning in Jan that year to get ready for the vacation.  I tan really easily and rarely burn.  Guess what I burnt anyway.

Drink lots of bottled water.  The hotness is more dry than humid but you still need lots of water.  I can’t remember the resorts we stayed at but we had tons of fun.  We did an all inclusive and there was about 10 of us from my high school friends that went after graduation.  We started in Mexico City, then Merida, then Cancun and last Isla Mujeres.
