@Jesswiest: the bee has always been pretty supportive for me, when I found out about it and was very upset I recevied lots of great support. But your right some people could attack me, but we can hope they move on 🙂
ETA: Not everyone has abortions because they want to

@FutureMrsRoos: I have never had this procedure personally but procedure wise they usually give you a local to numb the area prior to the insertion. People report feeling uncomfotable rather than in pain whilst the laminaria is inside. It can cause cramping and spotting in some cases though which might cause pain if it is bad. The laminaria is made out of seaweed so don’t be afraid of it as it is a natural product and not full of chemicals.
The doctor can also prescribe anti anxiety tablets to take in the hours after the proedure if you are worried.

@FutureMrsRoos: Just wanted to wish you well. Good luck and I hope it goes smoothly. Ask for more pain relief if you need it.
no one should pick on you till they walk a mile in your shoes. Then they’ll be a mile away and have your shoes. No, wait, that doesn’t work.
Anyway, good luck.

I have, I lost a baby when I was 20 weeks pregnant so I had to have the laminaria inserted two different times. The first was to start getting me dilated and then I went back in a few days later so they took out the first ones and put in more. It wasn’t expecting it to be so painful, I had been telling my mom that we could still go out and do some Christmas shopping but that did not happen! I’m trying to scare you so I hope me telling you this is ok. I would ask your doctor for some pain medication to see if you can take anything before you go to your appointment. if you have any more questions feel free to ask, I hope you’re well.
