Has anyone ever ordered SOLID hardwood flooring (not engineered and not laminate) from Lumber Liquidators? I’m assuming the store is a national chain, so I hope some of you have had experience with them! If you’ve ordered solid hardwood from them, are you happy with it? The customer reviews seem okay, but I’m skeptical of their prices versus Lowes or Home Depot! Seems like a too good to be true situation. Thank you!

We ordered bamboo floors from Lumber Liquidators and installed them ourselves. The quality is fabulous and they look amazing. We installed in our living room and master bedroom/closets. They get a lot of traffic and are holding up wonderfully.

el.mc.568: When we remodeled our kitchen we bought the wood from Lumber Liquidators, and it was great! The salesman was really helpful. My dad did the installation (which made the whole thing extremely affordable). We also worked with Home Depot for our cabinets and countertop. The work they did was perfect, but the logistics and customer service turned into a nightmare. Good luck!

My daughter ordered laminate flooring from her local Lumber Liquidators last year and was happy with the service and the flooring. She has dogs and was avoiding real wood. I am an interior designer in the UK and helped my son in Charleston, SC renovate his home 3 years ago. I didnt know the local vendors, he was on a really tight budget and wanted hardwood floors. I sourced factory second flooring from Hurst Hardwoods in Florida. I believe it was graded Bruce or Armstong wood flooring sold under their own brand name. The service was great, it was delivered on date and cost about 1/3 of store price. Being seconds it says on their web site to allow 15% wastage as some boards had knots or damaged edges but about 95% of it was usuable and we had 4 boxes left over. It still looks great.
