This is a good way for me to think of it, Fiance has said.. Just remember its about you and me and no one else. As far as the main reason… it’s not all the eyes on me part but I think I’m just so frustrated with everyone asking abut the wedding. I know I should be happy everyone is so involved but I would just like to have a conversation with someone where it isn’t about my wedding. It’s like people think its the only thing happening in my life. I guess I feel like if the wedding was over all the talk about it would stop, if that makes sense? I guess it’s JUST 7 more weeks…. Ugh. I actually love wedding bee bc there are so many NON wedding topics on here also… Almost like a little escape LOL

I had booked and paid for the church and reception site. Was about to pay for photographer. Had purchased some decor and started some DIY projects. I had also sent out my STD’s. Cancelled it all.
Luckily my church & reception site $$ were refundable. I let travelling guests there was no need because we changed our wedding plans and updated the wedding website.

@MrsPom: I did! I actually canceled our wedding that was paid for. Yeah. It was 2 months in advance. I had not sent my invites, but I had sent Save-The-Date Cards. We had a tiny wedding with just us. In so many ways, I am a little against weddings (shhh! I know, this is a wedding site!) I was pressured into my wedding before I was ready, and we canceled for a lot of reasons. I was however, ready for marriage. To me, they are two completely different things! Starting out with stress and having a huge display just is not for me. We would like to have a 5 year party, that is more my style. Feel free to PM if you want to!

I do agree with the whole leave me alone for 10 minutes too!! As it’s getting closer and closer I feel that even more. I had one bridal moment a few weeks ago and everythings been pretty good since. Everyone was bugging about every last detail. Eloping was such a good idea at the beginning then my Fiance said he wanted a “real” wedding and my dad said that he’d be sad if we eloped. I hate attention and the idea of everyone staring at us for 5 and a half hours and spending $25K on one day makes eloping even nicer. Someone I ran into through my engagement is getting married 10 days before me on an island in the Caribbean. It’s going to be about 25 people and it’s only costing them $10K for their wedding. Makes eloping sound even sweeter! Hope it all works out for you!
