I was thinking of doing a mixbook of all the engagement pics that we did and have them at the wedding. I was just wondering how did you guys like the whole process? How long did you have to wait for the book to arrive? and also was the book printed in good quality paper?

Yes I have used it. I did a 12×12 book for my mother-in-law to-be. I thought it turned out pretty good. I’m a photographer & am thinking about using them for books for my business.
I found them really easy to use – once you understand how to manipulate things. Give yourself a good couple hours to familiarize yourself with the system. I would recommend doing a search of wedding books & seeing what you like. Some of them you can “copy” & then go from there. That’s what I would recommend for your first time. If you do a blank setup, you might get overwhelmed.
I’m from North Dakota. My book took about a week, week & a half or so. The book is printed on really nice 80# text paper. Somewhat glossy like. Nice hardcovered printed cover.
I plan on making an 8.5 x 8.5 for my guestbook with our engagment pictures & misc pictures of our “journey together”. I’m also working on an 8×6 for my nephews graduation next month.

I already looked at some of the templates and like the look of the simple wedding so far. Probably for the next book I’ll try the blank book, it is a bit daunting when you first start out. Thanks for the tips and info!!!

I am using mixbook.com for out STD cards. And, I might use them for the invitations depending how the Save-The-Date Cards turn out.
I didn’t know about mixbook until it came up as the daily groupon (or was it living social?) deal of the say. I bought $50 for $15!!!! I am not sure what (if any) the catch is yet (shipping probably isn’t covered) but I’ll find out soon… have to get those Save-The-Date Cards out this weekend or it will be too late! (we’ve got 5 months to go)

@Miichelle: I bought this Groupon too! I’m going to make my guestbook with it. Thanks for reminding me, I should probably get on that!

@Jaynee: awesome! share what you do when you do it! 🙂 from what I’ve searched on here, bees have been pleased with mixbook, so I think we’re in good shape, especially with the discount
