I haven’t seen one like this in the flesh so I’d be grateful if fellow bees could share their rings so I can see how they look on the hand. Also, how do the prongs and basket wear with diamonds in, any issues with losing diamonds? Have you had any problems with this design?

I have a french pave basket with diamonds on the prongs. Mine is 1.5mm though. I’ve been wearing it for a couple years and I haven’t lost any diamonds or anything.

My original engagement ring setting was just like that! Unfortunately I lost a stone out of the pave going up the prongs within the first 3 days of being engaged, and then lost another one 7 months later. While beautiful. I realized it would be an impractical setting for me and ended up exchanging it for something else. Sometimes I wish I hadn’t because I really did love it, but losing diamonds was so upsetting 😫. 1.5 carat on a then size 5 in the pics.

I have a ring with stones on the basket and prongs. I just lost a stone on the very tip of one of the prongs after wearing it for about 5 months. I’m hoping it’s just from the resetting of the main stone. I try to be very gentle with it, but I have a feeling there’s going to be some upkeep!

I LOVE the ‘hidden halo’ look! Ended up going for a more typical halo so that the shank could swoop up to the center stone and avoid me feeling like I had a tiny skyscraper on my finger, ready to catch on hair, clothing, etc. It felt like the right decision for me BUT I love this look – super classic and simple from the top but amazing detail on the side!

Mine is quite different, but it does have 6 pave diamonds on the sides. I love the look of lots of pave set diamonds, but I would worry a lot about losing one if there were tons!

Mine has a 3/4 pave band and hidden halo pave. I’m pretty clutzy and haven’t had any issues with the stones for the last year + of wearing it!

Pave is new to.me as well. I am making certain that I take my ring off before bed, don’t wear it to work ( I’m a nurse). And that it is only worn when I’m not doing anything like housework. Basically, reading at home, watching tv or date night that doesn’t involve shooting lol!
