I don’t think you’re being fussy, of course I am biased, but realistically, for me, it ends up being cheaper to get a dress custom made then it is to buy one off the rack, then I’m getting exactly what I want.

I did find a dress that I LOVED. It was gorgeous, but there were still modifications I would need to make to it to make it suit my body. Before alterations, it was over 3000….Now, I’m getting a replica made from a local seamstress, and with all the mods, its costing me just over 800, so I would totally reccomend the custom route!! It is only one day right?!

I had my dress made for me. It’s really important to find a dressmaker who not only gets your “vision” but who you enjoy spending time with, as you will be with her (or him) for a lot of appointments.

My dressmaker has become a good friend and my dress was AMAZING!

I would definitely get one made, but be mindful that the quality of a one off dress isn’t always as good as mass produced designer dresses. However, if you can find a couture seamstress, the quality and fit of the dress should be pretty good.

if you work with a dressmaker, it will be better as you caon talk to  her and tell her what you want. if you want the top from one dress and the bottom from another dress. just send the pic to one of those custom made online website as it is cheaper and you can get what you want. my friend did this, she order it from 7foxmall.com. and the dress turn up great.  good luck
