No, they definitely live up to 5 days at least (under the right conditions- you need fertile quality cervical fluid so probably needs to be 5 days before O) and I’ve even read up to 7 but I think after 5 days chances are very very slim. You have a 10% chance of getting pregnant from sperm 5 days old (versus 25% chance sperm that is 3 days or less before O) from what I’ve read. We were TTA but getting close to letting things happen so we got a little too relaxed. One month we had sex O-5 and another O-3 and nothing and then a few cycles with no chances but the next time O-5 happened it worked and I got pregnant. You can definitely get pregnant from 5 day old sperm.

I also have a shorter cycle like some of you ladies, 22-25 days. Last cycle was 24 days. CD1 started yesterday, and my apps generally have always had me ovulating around CD9- CD10 (been keeping track for a year now). I don’t temp, however I’ve always wondered how accurate those CD’s are.. With my period lasting 5-6 days, its literally right after it ends that I should ovulate lol.
