Not for me, but it did happen to a friend of mine. She and her husband tried for years to have a baby and were about to start fertility treatments or go through the adoption process as a last resort…and she got pregnant completely naturally.  They just have one child and think they may not be able to have anymore, but they’re very happy they were able to have one.  They are considering IVF again to help them have another…she is 43.  I think anything is possible.  I hope the same happens for you!

We have friends who tried for 7 years to get pregnant, they went through 5 rounds of IVF and nothing.  They decided that it wasn’t going to happen for them and 8 months later she got pregnant with a boy, he’s almost 3 now.  They thought they were 1 and done given how long it took them to conceive but she ended up getting pregnant again last year, with twins everyone was literally shocked.

I know of a couple who had many rounds of IVF to no avail. They ended up getting pregnant naturally after that – twice.

Me.  We tried for 21 months and struggled with MFI. Our RE said IFV was our best bet and we had a less than 2% chance of getting pregnant on our own.  We hadn’t started treatment yet but the month before starting meds we conceived naturally.  My son is now 20 months old.

We also starting trying naturally for #2 last fall, and after only 4 months got pregnant again.  I’m currently almost 20 weeks pregnant.  I know my case is not common but it can happen.  Best of luck to you Prettysmile40 : !
