I made a ring for DH and he wore it before he even proposed.  It hasn’t left his finger.  He wanted everyone to know he was taken.

I like the idea, but Fiance is not a jewelry guy.  I think it will be an big enough adjustment for him to wear a wedding band.

My man has one! He really wanted one, and I like that we get to share the experience of being someone’s visible fiance. 

Whenever the topic of our engagement comes up, he holds out his hand and shows off his ring — he shows it off more than I show off mine! I love him.

To save on money, our engagement rings are also going to be our wedding bands.

@bmarie12 His wedding ring is 9mm and his engagement ring is 8mm. He likes big “manly” rings. The engagement ring was his idea, too. I was going to buy him a watch, but he wanted a ring.

I got one for Fiance because we exchanged rings in an engagement ceremony. He loves to wear it and will switch it to his right hand once we’re married. Although, he has gotten questions from family members and friends asking if he eloped ha ha!

First of all, congrats. and I agree with fellow bees that it’s great your Fiance wants an engagement ring of his own. He’s completely taking this commitment seriously and confirming that he’s taken. My SO has never worn any accessories because he’s just not used to it, (but wears a watch). I bet he’s going to prolong the wearing-of-any-kind-of-ring as long as he can. He’s always joking and saying he’ll put his ring on a chain and wear it around his neck so that it’s “closer to his heart”, but I think he’s kidding. Right?

No. I really didn’t see the point. We knew we were together, and I was the one who wanted to wear a ring, not him.

I think it’s a great idea for the right couple.

My boyfriend and I have talked about it and he decided on his own that he would like a ring. He is planning on proposing before he movesa 6 hours plain ride away, and he determined that he would like a physical manifestation to wear as well while he is away for the followig 4 years.

I’m not sure what I’m going to do when the actual wedding happens, but it’s the least of my worries. 🙂

I did!  While we aren’t wearing them just yet, boyfriend and I do have a set of wooden engagement rings that we will wear on our right hands once we get married.   It was actually his idea!

I got him an engagement ring…  when I was planning on asking him if he didn’t ask me first.  Which he did.  The ring I got was too big for him, and he hasn’t gotten it re-sized.
