(Closed) Has anyone had a custom-made hoop skirt (19th century, ideally)?

@SpecialSundae: it depends on how far along in the construction it is. if its still being pieced together its faily normal. if your in the final stages ofthings i would bring these concerns up to the maker. it also depends on how many hoops you have in the skirt. usually the more hoops the bigger the skirt and the longer to perfect. i would deffinatly talk to the maker about any problems you see now so if sometihng is not sitting right it can be corrected now rather than later.

@SpecialSundae: if you only have the 2 hoops so far then you sohudl be ok. i used to be in Rainbow (girls organization) where i had to have hoop skirts. usually its hard to tell by that point. trust me i had my fair share of freakouts! it for have a good maker and be patient with it it will turn out lovely. i dont have any pictures of back then but i once had a skirt that had 16 hoops! i only wore it a couple times though. it was rather bulky and hard to transport lol
