I had my dress preserved by Affordable Preservation.  It was $150, they sent me a box to ship it off in and it seems to be doing well!

My old roommate had hers preserved at a local dry cleaner’s.  It cost her around $200 and I think she’s happy with it.   I believe they also told her to take it out of the box and fluff it up 1-2x a year so that it doesn’t settle into any particular shape?

i am going to have mine preserved by a local dry cleaner too, but for now decided to just have it cleaned and pressed since i know i’ll want to play dress up a few more times before i put it away for good lol 🙂  but @ritsi_bitsi: it sounds like your old room mate is able to take hers out?  if that’s true then maybe i’ll go ahead and have it preserved sooner… we’ll see.

@Kemi82Justice of the Peace:She is able to take hers out to let the fabric breathe, but she was also given a pair of gloves to wear when handling the dress.  Once the dress is preserved, it shouldn’t be put on again because the oils from your body can get into the fabric.  In that case, the gown needs to be preserved again.
