I read somewhere that a woman’s hair changes several time throughout life due to hormones. Since I’m assuming you’re past puberty, lol, Have you stopped or started bc? Could you be pregnant? Is it your roots coming in wavy? or all of a sudden your entire head is wavy? Very interesting.

mrsmay07:  Yes! I always had sort of wavy hair, but when I was 18 or 19 it became downright curly. Like spiral curls if it was humid outside, and loose ones the rest of the time.

Then when I was about 26, it suddenly went straight again . This was around the time I got on hormonal birth control for the first time so I always have wondered if that had something to do with it. I also had a hair dresser once tell me that your hair totally changes every seven  years or so, so maybe that has something to do with it? I’m hoping mine will go curly again !

Me!  I have never had straight hair but I have gone through many different curly stages.  I would say my hair was super curly as a toddler, wavy from about 4-12, permed around age 12, and back to wavy after that grew out until I hit puberty around 14-15 when it went super spiral curly.  Around 25 my curls definitely relaxed a ton and now at 35 it’s almost just wavy again.  It’s so bizarre.  I show people pictures of my super spiral days and they don’t believe it’s my natural hair.

My hair has changed multiple times n my life, and I am only 35.

Some of it was around the time I went on BC, but has also changed since. Even recently, I used to be able to part my hair in the same spot but the last year… it’s been difficult and doesn’t want to. It’s a constant stuggle!

I am currently PG, so I am wondering what my hair will do. So far, it’s been flat and straight as possible… no matter what and how much volumixing products I use.

I had friends in HS whose hair went from straight to a nice wave… I was always jealous! I am hoping that happens to my hair some day. Straight is alright, but a change would be fun too.

I always had a little bit of wave in my hair, but the past few years my hair has become super wavy. I love this change because it looks better wearing it down now without straightening it. I heard from somewhere that hair changes like every 7 years or something.

My hair has now changed for the 2nd time. I had very fine silky white blonde hair as a child, that became very frizzy and curly when I hit puberty, but stayed very pale blonde. I had a baby 3 months ago and my hair is darker blonde and isn’t curly anymore. Hormones are crazy!

Yes my hair sucks right now, I guess I’m lucky because it’s thick but it doesn’t look good when I blow dry and straighten it. It used to.  I dont  know what happened!

This also happened to my younger sister. Her hair is wavy after many years of being stick straight like mine.

Yep, when I was a toddler I had loose spiral curls. Then as a child my hair was pin-straight for a few years, until it settled on being wavy & that’s what it is now.

This happened to my Mom. She had pin straight hair and now it’s wavy. Mine was super curly, then super straight, and has been wavy for a while.

My hair has gotten curlier.  I use herbal essence conditioner for straight hair to make it easier to brush.  Use mousse or something for Beach waves day to day
