We did! We stayed at the Aria, it was amazing. Even if you don’t stay there, you should check out the dessert/chocolate shop there….it is seriously AMAZING.

See a Cirque show if you can. We went to Zumanity, it’s the 18+ show, and involves nudity. Very adult. :p Just by mention it was our honeymoon, we got all kinds of stuff from places (free desserts at dinner, room upgrade, etc). We rented a car and took a day trip to the Hoover Dam and Grand Canyon and it was awesome, neither of us had ever been. The aquarium at the Mirage is cool, there’s also the shark exhibit at Mandalay.

We didn’t honeymoon but went for a vacation/conference. We spent most of our time seeing all the hotels and all their cool stuff. One of my favorite memories was getting drinks at the elevated outside bar (I think its sometimes a club though and I don’t remember the name) at Paris because you could see the entire strip and watch the Bellagio fountains. We stayed at the Flamingo due to budget but when my Fiance was at his conference I snuck into the Caesars pool and feel asleep in one of the lounge chairs, it was awesome. I’m sure there’s a lot of better stuff depending on budget, like cirque and some other shows too. I would love to go there for a honeymoon but since we just went last year we will probably honeymoon elsewhere.

@rebecca_wcc:  There is a restaraunt across from the Bellagio called Mon Ami Gabi. AMAZING!! Check that out! Also, a lot of hotel spas offer awesome packages if you two want to relax ๐Ÿ™‚

Keep the comments coming ladies. We are also honeymooning in Vegas. We were thinking of staying at the Mirage or the Venetian if we can afford it

@imanw:  Check out Jetsetter.com – they run deals on the Venetian quite often. We booked the Aria through them and it was super simple and easy to deal with.

Darling Husband and I are headed to Vegas for our honeymoon next week! we are staying at Planet Hollywood and will mentioning its our honeymoon and be requesting a room overlooking the strip/belagio fountains. I have been many times (it was a common family vacation spot- there are so many family friendly things to do in vegas! shows, museums, people watching, walking around the c asinos during the day, they also have good malls!) This will be DH’s first time there. we will see a cirque show, maybe 2 if we can afford it. (Love and maybe Kaw) He really wants to go to the Gun Store and shoot some fun guns that will never be legal in CA. we’ll also probably go the the pawn stars shop, maybe liberace museum, atomic bomb museum, wax museum, possibly hoover dam or grand canyon (those would be day trips and we’re only going to be there 4 days. maybe on our next trip)  Oh! I think there is also a sex museum which I heard is surprisingly classy.

Aria has an amazing little dessert shop. Harrahs and associated casinos have a 24 hour buffet pass- its 1 price and you go to any of their buffets in 24 hours, show your players card and eat! This includes Paris’s buffet, which is amazing for brunch. if you have a car check out M and their buffet, which includes amazing food, name brand alcohol, and home made gelato.

I’ve never been but I have several friends that have and they all say it’s fun but you can only stand it for 4-5 days max if you plan on gambling etc. I’ve heard it’s just really over stimulating. Maybe plan some non vegas-y activities? Have fun! ๐Ÿ™‚

i just got back from vegas and I must say I LOVED the spa at Aria. I will be going back every time I go to vegas, and might even run off for a weekend in vegas just for their spa. it is partially co-ed so you and your hubs will be able to enjoy a hot tub overlooking aria’s liquid area (their general pool) they have a salt room with comfortable chairs that gently vibrate and a wall made of himalayan salt. there is a heated rock room that there is no way I can describe how relaxing and amazing it was other than by saying I ended up taking a short nap there… twice! There are dunking tubs at different temps, a nice sauna and steam room that are men/women only. the showers are great andin a far corner so the showers and hair dryers do not interrupt the perfectly relaxed atmosphere at all. all the tubs are treated with salt rather than chlorine.

Darling Husband and I also went to the spa at caesars that is more highly rated. it is not co-ed at all but we still wanted to check it out. he had terrible service, i left reeking of chlorine despite showering twice and scrubbing a lot the 2nd time. It was loud, busy, not relaxing at all. oh, and $15 more per person. for that price we could have had another sandwich and pastry at cafe jean philippe (just down stairs from aria spa)

btw that was just for the day pass for the spa. we also got a couples massage at aria and thought it was overpriced and will not pay more than the $30/pp for a basic pass. caesar’s was $45/pp for a day pass. the pass is included if you get a spa service at either. oh, Darling Husband wants to add that the complimentary snacks at caesars sucked. they only had pretzels and juice. aria had honey roasted peanuts, fancy pretzels, juice, and sodas.
