Has anyone not been able to resize engagement ring and had to pick a new ring?

ebonyt93 :  Ouch… 🙁

I’m so sorry that it can’t be resized that easily. Hmmm does the ring come from a jeweller with a workshop (not that huge chain jewellery stores)? If yes sometime a local jeweller can recreate the ring setting and put the stone to the new setting with your ring size. A local jeweller here basically “recreate” my Mom’s eternity ring by taking off all the stone, re-create the setting keeping the original design to the smallest detail and put back all the stones back. It’s probably not the ideal solution but it’ll allow you to have the design he chooses originally and also the initial stone.

You guys are so cute together ^^.

Yes. Long story short, he had to send the ring back to get it remade. In my case it was too big and couldn’t be sized down without damaging the pave.

1. You’re beautiful and you two make such a cute couple. Congratulations!

2. My ex got me a Vera Wang engagement too and mine was size 9.5. It had a split shank pave so couldn’t size up from much smaller ring. They said they’d have to make it so it took 6 weeks and it wasn’t even perfect and had little imperfections but I still loved it. I hope sizing up your oval will turn out perfect!

ebonyt93 :  I have a size 4.5 ring finger and where I am from I always have issues with getting a ring, my e-ring though was specially made in my size.
