My setting is not designer but it is an antique reproduction, eventually I would like to put an emerald in the center but that will take sone time to save up and find the right stone. Therefore I asked my jeweler to put a high quality cz in for now and I am so glad I did as I love it! Now I must confess this is not my engagement ring but one of several stand ins. If this were a ring I would wear everyday I would have gotten a mousy or a white sapphire. Pls post pics when you decide, best of luck bee!

I’ve just ordered a white sapphire ring and although I have no desire to pass it off as a diamond, I love the option of a colorless stone that’s sparkly and durable!

I’ve worn lots of cz rings in my life and they hold up very well in daily wear and tear (I was a server, and a daycare teacher, so you can imagine the abuse) and the well cut ones outsparkle most diamonds due to their clarity. I never had issues with chipping or clouding or anything, they still sit in my jewelry box looking as perfect as ever. If my stone was not an heirloom I told my Fiance that I would be very happy with a cz because we are young professionals with bills and I am not ok dropping a car’s worth of money on a rock at this time in our lives
