cinderdora :  I can tell you that the folks at james Allen were very helpful via phone and online chat. I’m sure they could help with determining the added costs!  Can’t hurt to try ๐Ÿ˜Š  good luck

We purchased both online: my engagement ring from moissaniteco, and my wedding band from Kristin Coffin! While I’m not “allowed” to wear the wedding band yet (wedding is in December), it exceeds my expectations. She has a terrific reputation so I was not nervous about the quality, I was mostly concerned whether it would ‘go well’ with my ring, which was not ‘made’ for hers (or the other way around). I took the chance based on trying on different chevron styles, measurements, photographs, and instiinct… and a return policy ๐Ÿ™‚

ETA: No regrets at all, I *love* it/them both!

aberk156 :  You first need to go to the retail stores [any retail store] to try things on and see how they look, and what you like.  Just because you think you want a round or a square cut doesn’t mean you’ll like it when it gets there.  So find out what you like by in person trial and error.  then find a great online dealer to buy it from, or make it.  One with a good reputation and return policy.

Good luck ๐Ÿ™‚

We used eweddingbands.com and the whole experience was amazing! We got two 14kt yellow gold bands and they are so beautiful. Shipping was really fast and they have free engraving. Prices are really good too.

I purchased my husband’s band online from a mom and pops jewelry store in another state! They were cheaper but we did go into a big box store and he found one he liked so I just searched for it online and saved about $300! It was perfect and their customer service was excellent

I’d recommend James Allen as well.  I bought a wedding band that I wear as a right hand ring and  a stacking band.  Both rings are good quality.  I ended up returning the stacking ring because it didn’t quite suit my vision and the return process was very easy.

I bought a carved platinum band from Etsy that is lovely.  You definitely have to read the reviews and research the shop a bit on Etsy, but you can find some great pieces at reasonable prices.

My ring also came from James Allen – my Fiance said it was a great expirence working with them.  I had to have my ring re-sized and they took care of that for free & did a great job (also it was fairly quick)

cinderdora :  I am in Europe too and the shipping is free worldwide with James Allen but at least for me the taxes and customs eat up most of what I would otherwise earn from bying from them. Was in the US for work for a few months and did actually order a ring from them but that was more of a fun party ring and not meant as wedding/engagement ring so I can however say them are wonderfull to work with and their customer care is excellent. Them have a page on their site where you can calculate what the cost would be with customs and so on for every country so check it out. I ended up geting my ring from a local place who has such a deal so they match the price for any diamond bought in my country or internationelly with the same spets and certificate so I still got a good deal, maybe you have something similar where you are located?

I didn’t look in retail stores at all. I knew the type of ring I wanted and when I heard about Brilliant Earth I was dead set on ordering my e ring  from there but there were no retail stores around me anyways. Had a great experience and definitely recommend. When it came time to order our bands we went with Blue Nile because it was within budget but I plan to upgrade my band to one that matches from brilliant earth next year. Blue nile was really cheap and has coupons. My husband loves his wedding band and it was only $250

I got mine from Ebay, I’m happy with it. There’s a spacer ring on Etsy I’d really like to have someday too.

My wedding band was purchased through eweddingbands.com.  They have excellent prices and customer service.  The selection was amazing and they always seem to be running some kind of sale as well.  My platinum band easily would have be twice as much at a brick and mortar store.

I just bought mine and FIs off of amazon. hahaha. It’s supposed to come tomorrow and I’ll let you know if it’s any good ๐Ÿ™‚ Had decent reviews though, so I am hopeful. Plus the price was too good to pass up…I got a diamond/14K white gold band for about $100 and he wanted a tungsten band which ran around $15! His band was SOOOO much cheaper than buying in stores.  We looked at 3 different stores for tungsten rings and they were around $200, which isn’t bad but can’t beat amazon.
