Hi…I found a dress that I love and tried on but it was too expensive. Then, I found it on http://www.elledream.com but they are located in China and I have heard horrible stories about brides ordering cheaper dresses from China and other countries then recieving them and they are different materials or look alike dresses…has anyone bought from them because if I do buy it and it is not good then I will not have time to order a new one from the bridal shop…I only have one week left! Thanks!

I haven’t used them, but I’d avoid them. According to their return policy you have 24 hrs to notify them of a return and you have to still pay shipping BOTH ways:
See below from their website:
We accept RETURNS but NO EXCHANGE, please follow the instructions or your returns will NOT be accepted.
Firstly you must submit a return request via email to [email protected] within 24 hours of receiving your order.
Our representative will provide you with a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. Please send the dress back within 48 hours of number be given to avoid the dispute on your event date.
Customers need to bear the shipping cost send back to us
Refunds will be credited in the same form as they were paid (shipping cost we sent to you will NOT be included).
Refunds will be issued within 3 WORK DAYS we signed the package, please use the carrier you can tracking the package.
I also can’t find any reviews online (aside from the testimonials on their website). I don’t know that I’d trust it.

I have not ordered from them, and based on what I saw on their site, I would not order from them. They do not have direct access to the designers, they do not practice proper English in their write ups, and they do not have a phone number. Those are all red flags to me. The best advice I can offer you is to try Alfred Angelo, Davids Bridal, or a local salon. You can contact each of these to see if they have gowns in your budget. Another option would be to see if you can find sample sales in your area, and then don’t forget that with any gown you purchase; online or otherwise, you will more than likely need alterations. If the gown you are wanting is a relatively simple style, you may even be able to find a seamstress locally that could make your gown for you and still be within your budget.

@noritake22: Good call on the lack of a phone number. Always a red flag as well as the poor English.
