I was wondering if anyone has seen something like this? Could be more dressed up, I made this mock up real quick in my Paint app. I want the same colors, but doesn’t have to be exactly the same as the picture. I haven’t had any luck and thought about making my own, but can’t find striped paper like that.

I’ve never seen an invite like that, but I think it’s unique, original, and fun! Go for it!
I don’t know what to tell you about the paper though…

I think that you can definitely make this happen. Here are my suggestions:
- Words – I think that you should make your names larger and in a different font. Have the rest of the words with less spacing.
- Margins – I like the stripes too! I can see two options for making it look cleaner. (1) Make the stripes just on the top and bottom. OR (2) Make the border a lot thinner.
Are you trying to make a square invitation? Just FYI – square invitations do cost more in postage.

@neontl: I tried to make the text better, more like what I want, but my Paint app would only let me use one type of font and didn’t give me any options on alignment. :/ And yes I want square, even though it costs more.
@MamaHusky3: Thank you! I can’t believe I didn’t find that, I’ve been searching all night! It probably isn’t heavy, but I could add a backer to help stiffen it up, I think, and do the yellow as an overlay.

You can also try on Powerpoint – since your design is simple, you can make a similar design (like the stripes, you can do automatically with one of the patterned options) and have more options with the font sizes. Also, you can use two different fonts (dafont.com has free ones!) to make your names stand out.

You could checkout costco.com wedding invites. They have a lot of pretty designs to choose from which are affordable. I just bought mine from them and adore them!
