wmisuinasemerson: Yes, I got one that I thought was in great shape. Just noticed yesterday that one piece is loose. I’m going to take it to a jeweler and have them fix it, should be easy. My mom is seeing it tomorrow for the first time. I am looking forward to her reaction. It sure looks fun to wear, and I can’t wait to wear it on the big day!

wmisuinasemerson: I know you posted this awhile ago and you mentioned that you had to have it altered pretty tight to get the support you needed for your chest. I am a G cup or so and have been really considering this dress but don’t know (I’m really indecisive). I was also concerned with how low the back was on it but you look like you’re pretty secured in there. I tried on a size 12 and it was too small. If you don’t mind me asking, what size did you have to order to accomodate the girls? Thanks so much!

SkinnyLatte17: I actually ordered by my waist size – I think I got a 24 (when I’m a street a size 16/18)? The waist fit OK, but the bust was huge, and had to be taken in. Ask the bridal shop to see the Hayley Paige / JLM size chart – it will tell you the waist and bust measurement for each size. Go with whichever size most closely fits your smallest measurement (bust vs. waist – I’m guessing your waist is probably smaller than your bust). You can always take it it; you can’t really let it out. Alterations on the bust were like $400, plus another $200 for hemming/bustling, but I went to a super-fancy bridal place in an expensive city – worth every penny though.

However, the support comes from a good bra. I bought a Felina seamless underwire bustier ($80 or so), and sewed in some cheap plastic boning for a little extra support. The dress helped a little, but it’s mostly the bra.
