I have to wonder how many of those pictures are even real. Putting it up there just to make fun of the bride and groom is just wrong but if they are in on it then I dont see anything wrong with this

Wow, I hope I don’t randomly show up on this site. But some of the pictures are kind of funny. Are these things copyrighted or what?

@pinkb: I’m sorry but that little girl’s face in the knot of a tree was really freaking me out! I get the concept but geez….!

It appears to be similar to People of Walmart in that anyone can submit a photo they think qualifies as a a “fauxtog taken pic”.

lol I have a few friends on Facebook that have Nikon D40x’s and call themselves photographers because they take cool macro photos of flowers. This site is hilarious. “Did a Marine marry a Chemist?” ha ha ha!

@Miss Tattoo:

I have this on my FB too!!!! It really annoys me so I hide their status updates. I even emailed on of my friends and asked if she did wedding photography and she basically said, no, im not really sure what i’m doing so here’s a recommendation. So I check out said recommendation, and he was fauxtog too!!

This is awesome!!! I don’t know how many people I went to high school with who I am friend with on FB have started a fauxtography business, all because they buy the camera. The camera does NOT make you a photographer!! It drives me crazy. I especially love the person who sent her picture along with a paragraph on why she was sending it in. http://youarenotaphotographer.com/page/5, the girl sitting on the stool and the flowers in the background.
