@melonseeds: Nice work! And yes, unfortunately most priests would not cooperate with doing a shot like that. Getting behind the officiant near the altar is usually a no-no.

Beautiful shots! Since our venue will be a bit small, I doubt we can do that but I will ask our photographer.
I think the best way to do this would be to do a second kiss. It may not be as authentic, but it would still look nice.
Yeah you can tell this one is photoshopped bc if you zoom in you can see the officiant’s face in between their necks lol. Should be a super simple photoshop job though if you can’t get the real shot:)
@melonseeds: sorry didn’t see your post before I posted – totally thought it was photoshopped but that is an AMAZING shot, major props!
@ErinBlue: the actual photographer already replied and said she didn’t photoshop it, that the officiant did the final blessing from the aisle and encouraged her to go around to the other side.
@ErinBlue: lol sorry i didn’t see your post about seeing her post! post failure today.
I wanted a shot like that (sent pics/picture list to the photographer and even requested a second shooter for this specific reason), but unfortunately we didn’t get it–the second shooter took almost identical shots as what the main photog did. :[
Very few churches are going to allow a photographer to be on the alter to get that particular vantage point.
Ive had a couple churches let me do it but the ministers were pretty young and they were more relaxed churches. United and Weslyan. You would not get away with asking for that in a Catholic or more traditional church.
