secondly,I just wanted to say I SO want to do it! A buddy of mine is a beachbody coach and got to get it pre-release and says it is kicking her butt! It was released to the public on the 17th…yup,pretty sure I’m gonna buy it now!
@JerNCher: Hmmm yeah I saw a facebook page of someone who got it in a pre-release too, and she seems to have dropped lots of weight, but her FB page says she’s done it all – P90X, T25, Insanity, etc. So I can’t really tell from her how effective the 21 day fix was.
I really just like the idea of the portion control and using those containers and training myself on better portion control and more balanced eating. She makes a good point in her video that we can still undo the good of a workout by overeating healthy foods.
I have gained maybe 7-10 pounds in the last year and just started working out again last week. But I really don’t want to waste my time – I am wondering if this program would help me be more effective.
But I don’t want to be paying just for containers. I want results! lol
@MrsPhilly: Did you end up buying it? I seriously considered it, and even went so far as to contact a girl who was selling it via her facebook group. She sent me some additional info, and I noticed that you are automatcially signed up for a monthly supply of shakeology unless you call and cancel. Seems kind of like a marketing scam to me, i don’t know. I’m sure the program works but I bet you could have similar results just by researching the correct portions you should be eating. I already have the 30-day Shred video so I think i’ll just try using that again, as well as eating clean. Oh, the program is $140, by the way.
@MrsPhilly: I so wanted to try it out before my first fitting on March 22, but even as a beachbody coach, they weren’t guaranteeing delivery before March, and I kinda put it on the backburner to order the non-challenge pack when they become available again. I’d love to do it after the wedding and before my honeymoon!
@Kings7911: Honestly, when I started using Shakeology in my first challenge pack a year ago, I was surprised by how much I liked it. I was happy to have the monthly subscription after that, and my fiance even jumped on the bandwagon after a month and it has helped him keep his BG in check (he’s type 1 diabetic), so he never wants me to cancel, now. In my opinion, it’s worth the $4 a day, and way healthier than a Starbuck’s habit.
*Disclaimer: I’m a hobby-level beachbody coach. This means that I am signed up as a coach through Beachbody and I do make money off of it when people order programs through me. However, I describe it as hobby-level because I mostly just keep my coach status active for the discounts I get off programs and Shakeology. My sister and fiance are the only people who have bought things through me because they’ve seen the results that I and subsequently my fiance have made over the past year.*
@MrsPhilly: I have two friends who are doing it, and they’ve also tried a bunch of programs throughout the years since they’re both coaches. One has already lost a fair amount of weight in just a couple weeks. The workout program is great as far as I’ve heard and no, it’s not just containers.
@Kings7911: I didn’t end up buying it. My fiance seemed skeptical and not really supportive. He’s been going to the gym and working with a trainer. I’m in school and not working at the moment so I don’t have the money to burn on a trainer. I saw the challenge pack for $140 or they had just the 21 day fix part without Shakeology for $60.
FI pointed out that I could easily research portion sizes on my own and if the containers are helpful, then buy my own. And I’ve been doing some workout videos on a youtube channel that I subscribed to that have been really working my muscles – I hurt for days after so it must be working! So I think I’ll just stick with that for now.
I am living with my parents for 2 more months until I finish school bc FI started a new job too far away for us to have kept our apartment. So I don’t have control of the food that comes into the house and I don’t have the greatest will power. There were chips left out when I ventured to the living room today and I couldn’t stop myself from chomping down a few handfuls. :S Not proud. I haven’t worked out in like 5 days either … I have a cold, but that’s not really an excuse. Sigh. Tomorrow I will force my butt back on the treadmill
@mrsaxachef: Haha well sadly I only used it twice, and that was over a year ago. I’ve heard great things about it though! I’m really trying to get back into it.
@MrsPhilly: It is super hard to keep from snacking! I am in charge of what food we buy and it’s still hard for me since my SO and his 7 year old daughter like to have snacky foods around. I think you should just stick to your youtube videos, sounds like they are working! My SO and i have a combined gym membership for $100 a month that we hardly use, so I feel like I shouldn’t spend additional money on a separate program!
