I LOVE them and want them for my dessert/candy table. However, the cheapest I’ve found in my area is about $1.50 each. I’m wondering how easy they are to make…
Has anyone made them before? I’d love to hear your results!

Thanks! I go on lots of blogs and I knew I saw some posts somewhere, just couldn’t remember where!

I’m going to try soon! I wrote a post about it as well. There are plenty of great recipes out there, from Julia Child to David Lebovitz to Martha Stewart. I am excited to try them out!
Macarons are so delicious, but I never get them since I don’t go to bakeries unless we’re on vacation or something.

This recent article in Food and Wine is SUPER helpful in terms of laying out the technique and has a bunch of lovely recipes: http://www.foodandwine.com/articles/lesson-in-french-cookies-with-francois-payard-and-jason-wu
This article is also helpful too, it’s from Dorie Greenspan (a super duper baking authority so an actually reliable source): http://www.latimes.com/features/food/la-fo-macaron-20100401,0,6611000.story

Honestly they’re kinda of a pain to make, but more power to you if you want to tackle this for your wedding. If you live in LA Bottega Louie, Euro Pan and Paulettes are my favorite places to buy them <3

There’s a Paulettes in San Francisco, which is where I’d get mine if I break down and buy them. I LOVE to bake and I’m all about saving a buck but not if it’s going to make me crazy.
