I am thinking about trying the shake diet just because I’m so busy with work, I am finding no time to eat, which isnt healthy and is making me grouchy. I have heard good things about the ViSalus shakes…what do y’all think? Any other good shake brands or recipes you know about?

I’ve lost a little weight on them and so has a couple friends. They are, from what I have seen, the healthiest and the most affordable shakes around. But most I’ve talked to have had one side effect. It seems to give a lot of people really bad gas. I usually mixed mine with coffee and didn’t have that side effect until I started mixing it with milk like most people. It’s hard to stick to as a diet (two shakes replacing two meals) but I liked it because I hate eating breakfast, and the shake once in the morning was a good change.

My husband really likes me with almond milk. And I know it’s hard for people to replace meals with them, my sister has lost a lot and she still eats her three meals day. There is apps for different shake recipes and other things like cookies, granola bars and stuff like that. And also they have cookies and energy drinks with vitamins and other stuff they sell to make sure you are doing everything as healthy as possible.
