There are a few people I have met who said they lost tons of weight on medifast. I’m scared as heck about trying anything new, but I really do want to lose a good amount of weight before my wedding. I’m speaking to my doctor about it, but I wanted to know if anyone has already tried it, what they could tell me about it? Please?

I have tried it. I lost about 30lbs and then no matter what I did or how much I exercised I couldn’t loose any more. Please be aware that this diet is a short term diet, 500 to 700 calories is not something that is healthy. You should not really dip below 1200 calories a day unless directed by a physician. Let me just say that Ifelt like I was starving the whole time, and at 500 calories a day I was. You need to keep up protein in order not loose hair.
The food is all powdered and tastes like you are eating cardboard most of the time. The shakes were just ok if blended with ice.
You can do it on your own cheaper if you know how. I drink Premier Protein shakes I get them at costco. I buy one box of chocolate and one box of vanilla. I have found that this brand has the highest protein to lowest carb content. I freeze for 1 hour and it becomes a little slushie, then for lunch I blend the vanilla with mixed fruit and ice and make a smoothie. I eat a protein snack like string cheese or jerky. dinner is usually meat and salad. Sometimes I like to have the Boca Burger Original, it has the most protein and the least carbs and only 100 calories per patty.
My friend did the clean diet and lost 30lbs as well, but she also did work out with a trainer. On the up side of that diet she learned she had a gluten alergy and by cutting it out she was able to stop her horrible acne breakouts.

Wow, that sounds absolutely terrible for you. I would not suggest it. If you want to lose some weight and get healthier, start cutting out simple carbs and sugars, add tons of veggies and fruits and grains to your diet, get some fun exercise and mix both cardio and strength training. And cut out soda and alcohol if possible, limiting your coffee.

I lost over 100 lbs in 2011 and have successfully kept it off. (You can see pics at the link below if I copied it right.) My best friend and her husband also both lost over 100 lbs each and are successfully maintaining. I LOVE MF and tell anyone who asks how I lost the weight. this diet is amazing… but expensive.
i lost 40lbs in three months… and then couldn’t afford to stay on the diet and had to quit.
and they have such a variety of products that you can usually find a couple things that you actually enjoy the taste of. i love the chocolate shakes, the chili cheese balls (i think they stopped making those), both of the pretzels, and some of the bars. the online community is also very helpful. there are different tweaks you can make to different medifast foods to make them yummier. i liked to turn the broccoli soup into snack crisps.
