    @Cheng.HuiHsin:  Hi there, I did not purchase a Vera Wang gown, but I myself am a street size 4, but in wedding gowns, I purchased a size 8.  From what I’ve been told, it is common to order your wedding dress two sizes up.  If i were you, I would talk to DB on the phone and see what they think…But in the end, I would go with a size 8 if I were you because at least you will have more material to work with during alterations.  If you are going to be getting your dress altered, then they would have the extra material to take in..but if you buy a dress that is too small…it is very difficult for the sesamstress to take it out.  Therefore it is beter to order bigger and get it altered smaller to your exact body measurements just a few months before your wedding day.

    Good luck with whatever you choose!

    @Cheng.HuiHsin:

    Hi there! I see you ordering Davids Bridal from Taipei? I live in Japan and wanting to purchase gowns from those stores in the US but didn’t know I could…

    How did you go about it? and Are there other designers or online shops you looked at that you would recommend?

    I’d appreciate your opinion!

    And btw, I am visiting Taipei in 2 weeks 😀 Excited.

    I have heard that the sizes are true. So if you are a 6 you’ll be a 6.

    I have the same dress and I am a size 6. I did my original fitting in the store with a size 6 dress and it was true to size, so I ordered in the same size. I tried other VW White dresses and all felt true to size. Hope this helps!!!

    The dress is true to size. I orginally tried on a 4 but it was a little too big. I ended up going with the 2 and it  fits nicely. I still need to have it taken in in the hips. I am 5’5 and 118lbs. The dress is extremely long on me though so I will need to have the length alterned as well. Here is a photo of me in the size 4 dress.

    I would go by the rule, you can take it in a good amount, but only let it out a tiny bit.  Ordering up won’t hurt,

    I tried on the strapless version of the dress and it’s true to size.  I’m a 12 and the size 12 dress fit perfectly.

    @Hobokenbride2012: me too!

    I think DB is pretty true to size, even the Vera Wang line.  I’m a 12 and I fit a 12, but 2 styles, I was between a 12 and 14. So maybe one size up in case? Better too big than too small!
