I used “fake” flowers!

Spent less than $50 on flowers for my entire wedding! ๐Ÿ˜€

Everyone thought they were real.

@bestbuddies:  I used those daisies in my bouquets too!

@Jamcnair:  Keep an eye out for Hobby Lobby sales! I got each daisy for $.83, they run 50% off sales on stem flowers quite often. They also run great sales on guest books and stuff for 50% off. I got a lot of stuff there.

I’ve bought all my FAKE flowers from Garden Ridge, Michaels, Hobby Lobby, and a bunch of bouquets from the weddingbee classifides.  I don’t have pics yet, but my mother is making all of mine and will be doing so in the next few weeks.

It was never a question of real or fake for me.  My mother has some experience in arranging and just flat-out has a great eye for design.  I’m a control freak about somethings and I feel much more comfortable having my mother do them where I can watch and have input that have a florist do them who doesn’t know me and I’m stuck paying for something.

Also, I don’t even like real flowers.  THEY DIE.  What sort of symbol is that?

Finally…I’m some what unconventional.  My bouquet will be HUGE and cascading with grapevine, tiny dusty blue pomanders, huge dark purple hydrangaes, and all sorts of filler that isn’t flowers.  Glittery swirly things, mini fans, etc.  I know it sounds like a clusterF***.  It is and i’m EXCITED!

These all look so real. I wanted to use fake flowers but my Fiance is telling me they are tacky. I just can’t see paying a ton of money for something that is going to die.

@StarsHope:  That was my thought on it too. I’d rather have something I can keep or sell/give away than something that you put in the trash.

@SunnyBunny:  I’m also not too keen of paying a bunch of money for centerpieces that people take at the end of the night … Im trying to find a cheaper alternative
